Pet Rules

 

Pet rules, applicable to members, guests, and visitors with pets

  • Service animals may accompany individuals as needed.

  • Pets may accompany Members.

  • Pets may accompany Guests and Visitors who are staying on the property overnight.

  • If you plan to bring a Staffordshire Terrier or Pit Bull to Rock Lodge, please contact stay@rocklodge.com for pre approval on an individual basis.

  • Documentation and valid up-to-date core vaccines for dogs and cats will be provided by the pet owner to the office annually and kept on file in the office and the database. Required by law in the state of New Jersey: Dogs:

    • Rabies and DHPP (aka DAPP or DA2PP) – Distemper, hepatitis, adenovirus 2, parvovirus, and parainfluenza

    • Cats, Feline Distemper – Feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia.

    • Vaccine requirements for other pets will be determined on an individual basis.

  • Owners will not allow pets to engage in continuous, prolonged, or frequent annoyance, disturbance, or discomfort to others.

  • Pets will be on a leash or in a carrier when outside the cabin or room and/or under their owner’s supervision at all times.

  • Pets are allowed on Sandy Beach during the week only, except holidays. Pets may swim or wade in the lake under their owner’s supervision in the area in front of the spillway bridge and at Rock Beach. Pets may get on and off flotation equipment wherever their owner is getting on and off the equipment.

  • Food and water will be provided for pets in personal, appropriate containers.

  • Owners will clean up pet feces, vomit, droppings and any other solids in all areas.

  • Owners will clean up pet urine if accidents happen in an indoor space and must sanitize the area immediately.

  • Pet owners will take all precautions to make sure their pets are free from fleas, ticks and parasites before bringing their pets onto Club grounds.
